There will be two local athletes competing this weekend at the Illinois Elementary Schools Association (IESA) Class 2A state finals in Peoria. Both Persy Klein and Colby Crutchfield qualified at the sectional meet this past Saturday at Effingham St Anthony. Klein will compete in both the 8th grade girls 800 meter run and the 8th grade girls 1600 meter run while Crutchfield will be in the boys 8th grade high jump. The state meet gets underway Friday and continues Saturday at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria.
