The Paris Lady Tigers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after 2 innings and that proved to be the difference as they beat the Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians 8-5 in action Thursday at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville. The Lady Indians battled back with 3 runs in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th, but could get no closer. Abby Taylor had 2 hits and a RBI and Alyssa Griggs blasted a two run homer, her second of the year, in the loss. Paige Hill took the pitching loss giving up 7 runs in 3 2/3rd innings. The Lady Indians drop to 8-11 on the season and will be back in action Saturday in the Robinson Invitational. They will play Effingham at 9 a.m. and Fairfield at 10:45 a.m.
