The Edwards County Lions scored four runs in the top of the first inning Friday and were never headed as they beat the Red Hill Baseball Salukis 12-2 at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport. The visitors scored 12 runs on 12 hits with no errors while the host Salukis were held to 2 runs on 4 hits and 4 errors. Carter Davis and Hayden Arbuckle each had RBI hits for the Salukis, who fall to 8-8 on the season. Davis started on the mound and took the loss as he lasted only 2 innings. The Salukis begin a busy week Monday as they play at Cisne.
