The Carmi-White County Baseball Bulldogs remained undefeated after holding off the Lawrenceville Indians 8-6 Wednesday at Carmi. The Tribe helped out the host Bulldogs by making 6 errors on the day. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-1 lead and then opened up the game scoring four unearned runs on 3 errors in the fifth to lead 7-1 enroute to their 8th win with no losses. Jack Patterson took the pitching loss going 5 innings and allowing 7 runs only 1 earned while giving up 6 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. Maddox Pargin gave up a run in 1 inning of work. The Indian offense came up with 6 runs on 7 hits. Patterson homered for the first time in 2024 and Pargin had 2 RBI. With the loss, the Indians have lost two in a row and are now 3-3-1. They hit the road again Thursday for non-conference Varsity and JV play at Paris.
